Win a Valentines Letterpress Card

02 05 16

Valentine's Day, Letterpress, Hand PrintedIts that time of the year again when we linger maybe more so than usual around the letterbox in hope that a secret admirer or loved one has sent a little something through the post.

I have to say its one of my favorite times of year and I can remember as a child being so excited when I returned home with my own hand made card for my parents. These days I am still making my own Valentine’s Day cards but this time its with the letterpress and usually for lots of other people!

When sending Valentines and Birthday Cards out to customers I try to make sure they arrive at the destination well padded so if the recipient of said card lives in the same house it doesn’t ruin the surprise.

Like all of my letterpress cards this one is simple and to the point – the ‘I Love You’ is in Gill Sans Type and the white un-coated card stock is complimented by the brown C6 envelope.

For the first time on my blog I am running a competition to win one of these cards. To enter all you need to do is comment below with a love story or re-post this link/image to social media with the hashtag #ilovechiefsquirrel. I will pick a winner on Monday and send it out the same day to ensure you get it in time! Good Luck!

Hello, what a beautiful card. I thought you would like to hear how my husband proposed to me.

He had a ring designed and made for me… He hand selected the diamond with the help of a local jeweller, who then made the ring to Steve’s design ( he took an old ring of mine along to get the size right!) Then wrapped it up as a surprise on my birthday!

What a wonderful surprise… 18 years we are as much in love as ever!

My love story is the night I met my husband. We were all in a big group and I hadn’t paid much attention to him till he turned to say goodbye. Something happened, I turned to my friend and said that I was going to marry my now husband as he had a glow around him. He also, unbeknown to me said the same thing to his friend. We have now been together 12 years and have 2 small children.
